Dr Baumann specialises in brain, spine, nerve and muscle disorders. She is highly experienced in managing general neurological disorders including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Epilepsy, Headache, Stroke and nerve muscle disorders. She has a special interest in neuromuscular diseases including motor neurone disease and migraine therapy with botulinum toxin injections. Her services include nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
Qualified as a Consultant Neurologist in Australia, with neurology specialist training in Brisbane and Melbourne. Completed a Neurophysiology fellowship at Austin Hospital (Melbourne) and specialised in nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG). Dr Baumann has a doctorate degree (Doctor of Philosophy) in Motor Neurone Disorders from the University of Queensland.
BBiomedSc (Hons II), Neurophysiology Scientist
Henri is an early career neuroscientist, having graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2016 with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. He has clinical training with private specialist practices in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and is a member with the Association of Neurophysiology Technologists of Australia (ANTA).
Henri has experience with neuromuscular testing in clinical practice, particularly Nerve Conduction Studies.
BPsych (Hons I), PhD, Grad Cert (Clinical Neuro)
Allie holds a PhD from the School of Medicine, University of Queensland, and received Post-Doctoral training in neuroscience at Australian National University. She has further qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology, and is a member of the Association of Neurophysiology Technologists of Australia (ANTA)
Allie has extensive experience working and performing a range of neurodiagnostic tests.
BSci, Neurophysiology Scientist
Rob is an early career neuroscientist. He received his Bachelor of Science from Monash University in 2018. He has received extensive clinical neurophysiology training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He is a member of the Association of Neurophysiological Technologists of Australia (ANTA). He is competent to perform clinical EEG studies.
Rob specializes in EEG and ambulatory EEG recordings, having worked in the past with both children and adults in fast-paced clinical environments.
Our highly experienced practice nurses play a vital role in patient care. They provide ongoing support and education while assisting Dr Baumann with your individual treatment plans.
Practice Manager and Neuroscience Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
Anna is NeuroNSWs Practice Manager and leading Clinical Nurse. Anna completed her Diploma in Nursing as an EEN and has worked previously at St Vincent’s Hospital, on the Rehabilitation and Palliative care wards. Anna has a wealth of experience within the health industry and management roles, having worked in the Lismore region for more than 20 years.
Anna assists in the management and care of patients seen by Dr Baumann, Dr Milne and other specialists that consult at Northern NSW Neurology Clinics. helping with both initial consultation introductions and clinical workup, as well as liaising for follow-up and review. She specialises in the management and co-ordination of our specialised clinics, including Botox Injection Clinic, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s and Headache.
Anna is a member of the Australia Association of Practise Managers and Australasian Neuroscience Nurses Association.
Practice Nurse (EEN)/Patient Liaison Officer
Sarah works as clinical nurse for specialists at Neuro NSW, specialist group practice in Northern NSW. Sarah completed her Diploma of Nursing as an EEN and she has previously worked in Age care facilities for a number of years.
Sarah assists Dr Baumann and Dr Milne in specialty clinics such as Memory Clinic, Parkinson’s Disease Clinic, Epilepsy Clinic and will provide you with specific support and education while ensuring you understand the treatment and medication plans for your diagnosis. Sarah is a member of the Australasian Neuroscience Nurses Association.
She prioritises patient care and she is the patient liaison officer who deals with individual patient needs, concerns or complaints independent of the managers.
Sonia is a seasoned administrative assistant, with over 20 years of experience, having honed her reception skills working with local practices in Lismore region. Sonia lives in the Northern Rivers with her husband, and is the mother of two grown children.
Like all the staff at NeuroNSW, she embodies a patient-centric approach, contributing to the wellbeing of our staff, doctors and patients.
